My, he sure is growing up quick. He can handle more exercise now at 3 months old and is getting better at our regular schedule. So, what's changed? He sleeps through the whole night (started sometime around 10/11 weeks old) without a potty break. If your work schedule is different you can shift this by getting up earlier, but not later. Bear in mind, the duration of exercise and attention is ESSENTIAL for this breed.
10-12 Week old Puppy Schedule
- 6:50am
- Wake up and go outside to potty immediately
- 7:05-7:35 am
- Go for a morning walk/play on grassy area
- 7:35-8:10 am
- Play with toys for 5 mins, then puppy hangs out in kitchen or play pen while you eat breakfast
- 8:10-8:30 am
- Play with toys, snuggle, hang out
- 8:30-8:40 am
- Fix puppy breakfast and prepare his daily treats/kongs for while you're gone at work
- Place puppy in play pen or enclosed area in your house. Feed breakfast and leave treat filled kongs for them to find.
- Leave to go to work
- 11:45 am
- Come back from work to let puppy out to pee
- 11:45-12:30
- Take puppy out for another walk. Throw a ball, play with toys
- 12:30 pm
- Prepare another meal for puppy and place it in pen with them, go back to work
- 5pm
- Arrive home, take puppy out to pee immediately
- 5:15-6:00 pm
- Take puppy out for evening walk/play session
- 6:00 -7:00pm
- Puppy chills in living room or play pen while you eat dinner and watch a TV show (can play with them intermittently during this time if necessary)
- 7:00-8:45 pm
- More games with some training mixed in
- 8:45pm
- Potty Break
- 8:45-9:15
- Puppy in pen, crate, or chilling on the floor while you shower or do something you need to do
- 9:15-9:45pm
- Quiet time: puppy can be out and about, maybe some mild games, start winding down
- Do one last potty before bed
